As recorded in the Bible in the book of Genesis (which means ‘beginnings’), God created the world and very intentionally created life. Therefore we believe that if God created life, life has value and purpose.
The Bible later records the words of Jesus Christ telling people that God loves people and that he had come to let people know. Therefore we believe that if God sent Jesus to let people know they are loved, love has expression.
Another simple principle taught in the Bible is that we should actively love people as God does and be involved in each others lives for good. Therefore we build community. We express love and care by building into people’s lives in all areas; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
Believing that people matter we intentionally offer hope, health, and wholeness to people in community, both locally and globally; creating an environment where everyone is welcome and has a sense of belonging.
Goodlife was birthed out of a vision for our nation. Knowing that the average Aussie may never walk through the doors of a church we set out to create a place that serves the community, providing connection and a sense of purpose for all. Goodlife is committed to following the principles and life of Jesus, holding a deep desire that all may discover the fullness of hope found in Him.
Our core tenets are the bridge that connect the heart of Goodlife, that people matter, to our vision of reaching Australia for Christ. It is through deep intentionality we walk out our calling through the six core tenets of Goodlife: Community, Mercy and Justice, Gatherings, Family, People Development and Transformation.
